      Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I’ve been using Osman’s Gems & Jewellery for around 20 years now, which probably says enough on its own!
Our first ever purchase was a pendant for my wife, and since then they’ve made her engagement ring and we’ve bought and designed quite a few other pieces over the years – pendants, earrings, rings and jewellery for other members of our family too.
I’ve known Shehan for years and the service from him and the team has always been brilliant. There’s never any pressure or feeling that they’re just trying to sell you something. You can tell them roughly what you have in mind, have a chat about different stones and designs and they’ll help you come up with something you’re really happy with.
The quality has always been fantastic and the prices have always been very reasonable, especially for the quality of the jewellery and stones. After dealing with them for so long, there’s also a level of trust there that you just don’t get everywhere.
We live in the UK and still use Osman’s even when we’re not in Sri Lanka. I’ve messaged Shehan from the UK, sorted everything out with him and had pieces shipped over without any problems at all.
Our latest purchases were in July 2026 when we visited Sri Lanka and, 20 years after that first pendant, we were back at Osman’s again!
Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Shehan and everyone at Osman’s to anyone looking for a nice piece of jewellery. They’ve looked after us and our family for years and I’m sure we’ll be going back for many more.
I’ve added a few photos of some of the pieces they’ve made for us over the years, although the photos really don’t do them justice – they look even better in person!

They have a large selection of beautiful unset gems, and also set stones, as well.  The staff were knowledgeable and very easy to work with. We left with beautiful gems (with certificates) and jewellery. Highly recommend this store!

Bought few (2010) got a discount by paying CC. Good place if you are looking for genuine gemstones. Highly recommended.

We have found Shehan extremely helpful his knowledge is second to none. The quality of the gem stones are the best. If they do not have exactly what we were looking for which was rare Shehan would go out of his way to locate it. We live in Australia and have visited their shop in Sri Lanka many times. We would select the gem and have them make it up for us. If the ring was not ready before we left it would be sent to us in Australia. We have never not been satisfied with the result.
